Car Air Conditioning FAQS

ATS Automotive are well placed to take care all of your Vehicle Air Conditioning Re-gas, Repair, Inspection and Servicing needs

Car air conditioners use refrigerant to take the excess heat from the air in the interior area of the vehicle to the exterior, leaving only cooled or 'conditioned' air behind to be recirculated. It is important to perform a regular evaluation of the condition of the rubber seals for any signs of leaks or problems which could be contributing to a loss of refrigerant.

To allow for this issue the refrigerant in your Automotive Air Conditioner system should ideally be refilled completely within four years of the manufacture date and every two to three years after that.

Your vehicle should be taken to a qualified workshop such as ATS Automotive (AU33759) on a regular basis to make sure the air conditioning system continues performing as it should as well as having the mechanics assess the condition of the whole vehicle.

Repco Authorised Service mechanics perform a 65 point Vehicle Inspection with every service and are able to warn you about any components that may need replacing in the near future or those that are already worn beyond repair.

ATS Automotive (AU33759) care about the environment and have Arctick Authorisation to reliably and responsibly conduct automotive air conditioning service in and around Hobart and the surrounding areas.
